SSD-DT Last Minute Gifts

Hi Everyone

This week Sweet Sassy Diva's design team challenge was to make either last minute stocking stuffers or last minute gifts. I have seen a lot of the blogs doing the glitter ornaments and I just think they turn out so beautiful. I tried something different with some ornaments that I have had for years but never use them on my tree because they were so plain. I took frosted ornaments and used a Q-tip and embossing ink. Using the Q-tip I wrote on the ornaments and then used embossing powder to coat where I had written on the ornament. Then using the heating tool, I heated the embossing powder and this is how they turned out.

This 1st one is one that I since to my circle pal:

When doing the heat embossing you do need to be careful not to heat it for too long, I did burn a hole in one of the ones I was making. Here is another one for a lady I work with.

Hope you all enojoyed. Thanks

Craft Junkie Too- DT Project

Hi Everyone,

Are you all ready for Christmas? I am getting there, still have to wrap all the presents and get some last minute gifts, and go to the grocery store. It just seems like Christmas came so fast this year.
This is the last week for the Winter design team for CJ Too. I had such a great time working with Tracy to bring you some great Fall and Winter projects. I just want to thank her for the great opportunity she shared with me.

For this week's challenge I finished up the gifts for our friends and neighbors and thought I would share this easy cookie recipe that is oh so yummy with you. Is is very simple to make.

Recipe:
Ritz crackers
Milk chocolate chips
Peanut butter

1st you spread peanut butter on top of all the Ritz crackers.
Then you melt the milk chocolate and dip the crackers in the chocolate. This can get messy.....
Then I put them in little treat bags and made tags to go on them. These cookies are so good!

Going to see Santa

Hi Everyone,

Saturday was my husband's work party. He works for Union Pacific and every year all the kids are invited to the rail yard to see Santa. Santa rides in on a big train and the kids just love it. I thought I would share this cute little video of all the excitement on Saturday.

This is Santa coming in on the train.

This is my son telling Santa all he wants for Christmas is legos, my daughter wanted nothing to do with him, so we didn't get any pictures of her with Santa

After Santa arrives we all go inside where each child has a chance to sit on his lap and tell him what they want for Christmas, then the kids get to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.

SSD- DT Gift Tag Challenge

Hi Everyone,

This week for Sweet Sassy Diva's design team challenge we were asked to make gift tags, gift bags, or anything gift wise. So I spent Sunday making chocolate covered pretzels for our neighbors and then added gifts tags to the bags. I think they turned out cute.

Check them out:

I used Tags, Bags, Boxes & More, and cut the label at 4 inches. The paper is from DCWV. These were really easy to make and the kids loved helping. Okay they ate more then they helped but it was fun!
Thanks for looking

CJToo DT Challenge Christmas Organization & Blog Hop Gypsy cut file

Hi all,

This week Craft Junkie Too's design team was challenged to come up with a Christmas organization project. I must say though I am not organized at all this year. Normally by this time of month I have all my Christmas shopping done and my house is already decorated. Not this year, I am so far behind and I really don't have a reason for it. We just now got our Christmas tree tonight, and we didn't even decorate it. Crazy huh???
Well for this project I made a holiday planner for 2011, so maybe next year I will be a little ahead of the game.

I saw this project on a couple of different blogs and thought it was awesome, so I tried it. The cuts are from Winter Frolic and lettering from Gypsy Wanderings. I found the inside pages at http://www.christmas.organize.org/

Here is a quick video I did:

Sweet Sassy Diva's Design Team- Post It Craft Paper Blog Hop!!!

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the Sweet Sassy Diva  Design Team Craft Post It Paper blog hop! The blog hop today is featuring 3M Post It Craft paper! If you haven't tried this paper yet you have too!  If you arrived here first, be sure to head on over to SweetSassyDiva's blog http://sweetsassydiva-gspot.blogspot.com/ to see  the wonderful project that she made!

If you haven't guessed it by now this blog hop is sponsored by 3M! And you are not going to want to miss the Grand prize, it is Post-it paper and a Post-it paper purse dispenser to be given away to one lucky person. Bobbi Jo over at Sweet Sassy Diva will pull a name from the comments on all of the blogs, plus there will be other cool blog candy along the way.  So make sure you hop on over to all blogs on the hop and leave a comment on all the awesome projects today.

This paper is awesome, it is sticky on one side like a post it note. It is re- positional so it makes layering those cricut cuts a breeze.

For this blog hop I made 2 Christmas cards using mostly the Post It Craft Paper. What I like most about this paper is the layering possibilities. It takes the whole gluing part out of the equation.

I used my Gypsy to set up these cuts, here is what it looked like and how to set-up the paper on the mat. I will add the cut file later today.

Recipe:
Craft Post It Paper: Sunshine, Cosmic, Crimson, Jungle, Evergreen
Cuttlebug Christmas Noel Embossing folders
Winter Frolic
Red Card Stock
DCWV- Holiday paper pack
Christmas ribbon
