Home Decor- Flower Wreath

Hi All
This week the DT over at Sweet Sassy Diva was ask to make a spring time home decor project. Well I went to my mothers this weekend for Easter so I didn't have time to make something, but I wanted to share with you this beautiful wreath she made for Easter. It was made with a round bamboo wreath and then she added silk flowers, eggs and these beautiful bowes. She always ties the best bowes ever. She covers her whole tree in them at Christmas time, it is awesome.

These little eggs are from Michaels and believe it or not  the flowers are from the dollar store.

Cricut just ran a special challenge to win a new Cricut Expression 2. The challenge was to make up to 3 birthday layouts. I did make 3 and sent them in, now I am just waiting to see if I won. They had over 500 entries to chose from, but I am still hopeful.

This was the last layout I made and my favorite.

This was the 1st layout out I made
This is the 2nd layout I made..

Easter Eggstravaganza Blog Hop

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE NO HOUSEWORK NATIONAL HOLIDAY BLOG HOP CLICK HERE

Hi Everyone

I am so excited about today! Today is the last Saturday I have to work because of Tax Season! and I could not be happier. It has been a very long and stressful season. And today we are celebrating the Easter Eggstravaganza Blog Hop! WOOHOO! If you arrived from the wonderful and talented Monica's blog then you are in the right place, if not please start from the beginning at Nadia's blog .
Ok on with the hop, for this hop we were asked to make something that you can eat, I am not the best baker but my aunt make these wonderful cupcakes last Easter and decorated them so cute that I wanted to share them with you.

She made one for each of us with our initials on it. They were chocolate and oh so yummy.
I love decorating Easter eggs it is one of my favorite times of the year. These are the eggs we made last year.

Ok for my food, I don't have a picture of it, but is is one of my favorite appertizer I love to make for parties. I call them Salami Tacos, here is what you need to make them:
sliced salami
cream cheese
sliced pepperoncinis
So you take the salami and spread a little bit of cream cheese on it them put a pepperoncini in it and fold it. (hence the taco part) They are so easy to make and soooo YUMMY!
Thanks for stopping by today, your next stop on the hop is Carrie

Tri-Shutter Card

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE NO HOUSEWORK NATIONAL HOLIDAY BLOG HOP PLEASE CLICK HERE

Hi Everyone

This week for the SSD DT Challenge we were asked to make a Tri-Shutter card. This is the first time I have ever made one of these and I think it turned out pretty nice. I have seen these on the blogs but I had no idea how to make one.

Here is the card I made

Recipe
Pink and green cardstock
Accent Essentials
Prima flowers
Patterned Paper
Here are the steps on how to make the card.
1. Cut a 12x12 solid cardstock to 5 1/2x12
2. Score the cardstock at 2,4,8,10 inches
3. Turn longways and use a paper trimmer to cut the paper from the 2" scoreline to the 10" scoreline going inward on the paper 1.5 inches. See picture below:
4. Fold at score lines
5. Add cordinating patterned papers- measurements: You might have to alter these measurement as I could not get them spot on, so I kept trimming them down until I got them the way I wanted.
Cut 4 pieces of patterned paper 1 3/8” x 1 3/8”.
Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper 1 3/8” x 3 7/8”.
Cut 1 piece of patterned paper 2 3/8” x 3 7/8”.
Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper 2"x5.25"
Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper 2"x2.75"
Then put all the papers on the cardstock.
