Just a Heads Up

Hi Crafty Friends
Just wanted to give you a quick heads up, I came back from camping and our house was broken into, they took all of our electronics and other stuff. So I am working on getting a new computer, but I won't be able to post anything for a couple of days or so, until I get one.

Box Swap Reveal

Ok I have been anixiously awaiting this all day. I signed up for a box swap, where I make a box for someone and someone makes a box for me. We used the square boxes that were for sale on cricut.com. We were suppose to decorate the box and then fill it with lots of goodies. I took a picture of the box I made but forgot to take pictures of the goodies inside. I will post that tomorrow.

But now.....Drum roll please.....
My secret swap partner was Tullipcollector from the Cricut Circle MB.

Look at this beautiful box she make me. I just love it!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! It is so AWESOME!!
This is what it looked like when I pulled it out of the shipping box.

OMG!!! Look how pretty it is.

WOW Linda! the top of the box is absolutely gorgeous! I love it!

OMG Linda! Thank you so much!!! I love it all, I am totally speechless! I love all the colors and everything you gave me and made me! Thank you!!!

Spring Layout

Hi All
I hope you all had a great weekend. Last week was the start of having Fridays off for the Summer. YEA!!! I love having Fridays off. I went and got a pedicure which was so nice and so well needed! LOL! I did some shopping for some up coming swaps and then got some crafting done too. It was a great day. Saturday I went to an all day crop which was so much fun, it was nice seeing my friends and my tummy hurts from the non-stop laughing. I actually got some stuff completed too. LOL!

Here is a Spring layout I made. I used mostly scraps that were laying around my craft table.
I used Art Philosophy for the flowers and Seasome Street Seasons for the Spring saying. The patterned paper is from DCWV.
Make sure you check back tomorrow, I will be openning the box I received in a box swap and revealing what was inside, I am soooo excited and can't wait to open it. It will be posted later in the day when I get off work.
Hugs

New chairs- sort of

Hi Everyone
I wanted to share a project that I worked on Saturday. My mom gave me her old dining room table when I moved and this weekend she gave me the china cabinet that matched the table so I was pretty excited.
But the chair cushions to the dining room table were off white and with kids still in the house that just wasn't going to work. Especially since they already went through all of us when we were kids LOL!
So I decided to get some fabric at Joann's and I recovered all of the cushions. I am so happy right now, I have never done this before and it was soooo super easy.
Take a look:

Old cushions
As you can see these cushions have been used and abused! LOL!

So here are the new cushions I made.

I just love this fabric, and am so happy with how they turned out!

Dream Banner

Good morning everyone.
Today I wanted to share with you this Dream banner I made for the Cricut Circl blog Color Challenge and the magazine challenge. The colors to use were, peach, green, aqua, blue and brown.
I tried something different with this banner. I bought some Jewelry wire and put the banner together with that.
I started by wrapping a 5 inch piece of wire around a pencil to give it some curl, I did this for every piece that is hooked together. I used paper from Me & My Big Ideas. The stack doesn't have a name on it. But I just love the paper.
I also used Storybook for the letters, butterflies, and scrolly thing. I added glitter to every cut to make it stand out a little more. The letters are cut in DCWV glitter cardstock.

Here are some close ups of each piece of the banner.

I drilled holes in the chipboard for the wire- ok my hubby drilled the holes, but I was supervising the whole time. LOL!
I then laced the wire through the holes and make little knots on the back sides of the chipboard and wire.

Bugs & Kisses Card

Hi Crafty friends

I have been able to spend more time in my craftroom lately and I am lovin' it! I spend Saturday over the the Cricut Circle Blog where they had tons of challenges and cool stuff for us to do.

I made this card for the Recipe challenge, you had to make a project using at least 3 cricut cuts, use yellow, use a bird, bug or butterfly and use stitching.
So this is what I came up with, I used the Live Simply cartridge for this cute worm on a branch and the scalloped cut out, I used George Basic Shape for the circle.
I wasn't how this was going to turn out when I was putting it together, but I think it's cute now. Check back tomorrow, as I have been working and a cool new coaster banner, and I have been experimenting with different ways to hang them up.

Sweet Sixteen Banner

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Did you all have an awesome National Scrapbook Day? I did! I hung out at the Circle Blog and am working on all the awesome challenges they have lined up for us. I also got to spend the whole day in my craftroom and my mom came over to scrap with me.

This month for the Cricut Circle Magazine challenge we were challenged to make a banner. Well my girlfriends daughter was having her sixteenth birthday party so I made this banner for the challenge and the party.

Here are some close ups of the letters with designs on them.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!

Have a Moo-velous Day Card

Hi Everyone

I have been very busy lately. I started a webstore and am so excited to say it is up and running and doing quite well. YAY! I am planning on having a grand openning blog hop with lots of prizes and giveaways so keep a look out for that this month. A perfect combination to go with National Scrapbooking month. My store is What's Scrappin and you can check it out HERE .

So today I thought I would share with you a card I made with County Fair. I couldn't wait to get this cartridge and am just now getting around to playing with it. How funny is that? I have tons of cartridges like that though.

I went to Split Coast Stamper for the instructions on how to make a slider card and this is what I came it with.

I love how this turned out and it is a 3-d card which I think is pretty cool, different from the regular A-2 cards I normally make. Well thanks for stopping by today, and please check out my new store
www.whatsscrappin.com I have a tons of great deals including the New Tim Holtz Spring Ink Pads and Re-inkers and the Fall & Winter Re-inkers too.
