Home Decor & More BLog Hop Day 2

Welcome to the Home Decor & More blog hop. This is day 2 ,  Our host is Cicily the Pink Dalmatian Scrapbooker. If you came from Jessi then you're in the right spot. If you want to start from the beginner than head on over to http://pinkdalmationscrapper.blogspot.com/ and hop your way thru some amazing home decor. The Pink Dalmatian is giving away blog candy, you can see all the details on her post. Some of the other hoppers may be giving away candy to so be sure & check them out.
We all have drawers, closets & possibly rooms full of scrapbooking supplies. Those beautiful, colorful supplies don't have to be limited to our pages. We hope to inspire you to use your supplies in Home Decor projects that add that special touch to our homes.

Today I wanted to share with you this Dream banner I made.
I tried something different with this banner. I bought some Jewelry wire and put the banner together with that.

I started by wrapping a 5 inch piece of wire around a pencil to give it some curl, I did this for every piece that is hooked together. I used paper from Me & My Big Ideas. The stack doesn't have a name on it. But I just love the paper.

I also used Storybook for the letters, butterflies, and scrolly thing. I added glitter to every cut to make it stand out a little more. The letters are cut in DCWV glitter cardstock.

Here are some close ups of each piece of the banner.

I drilled holes in the chipboard for the wire- ok my hubby drilled the holes, but I was supervising the whole time. LOL!
I then laced the wire through the holes and make little knots on the back sides of the chipboard and wire.

Thanks for stopping & looking at my Home Decor project. I am giving away some blog candy too, woohoo! I will be giving away the New Limited Edition Tim Holtz Spring Ink Set or the Spring Re-inker set, your choice.

Dream Banner

Good morning everyone.
Today I wanted to share with you this Dream banner I made for the Cricut Circl blog Color Challenge and the magazine challenge. The colors to use were, peach, green, aqua, blue and brown.

I drilled holes in the chipboard for the wire- ok my hubby drilled the holes, but I was supervising the whole time. LOL!
I then laced the wire through the holes and make little knots on the back sides of the chipboard and wire.

Baby Banner

Happy Saturday everyone,

Hope you all are having an awesome Saturday. I have to work today, but I wanted to share with you all a baby banner I made a couple of weeks ago at a crop I went to. I have been really busy with work lately and haven't had a lot of crafting time, so I was so excited to finish a project. LOLs!

I made this banner with the trusty coasters I love to get at Michaels. I also used the New Arrival and Birthday Bash cartridge for the cuts. I used DCWV Baby cardstock for the paper to cover the coasters with. I just love how it turned out and thought these would be perfect for my friend who are prego right now.

Come back Monday, I am sharing some pictures of some SMASH pages I made for a SMASH swap I was in.

I love fall! It is my favorite time of year, the leaves are changing colors, the weather becomes cooler, the kids go back to school and it is the time of year when you get to spend one whole day with the most important people in your life and to give thanks. What could be better then that? What do you love about Fall? I absolutely love the colors of Fall. The yellowing and burnt orange leaves, dark browns and burgaundys. The changing weather, not too hot but not too cold (no snow please, LOL!) and all the things Fall brings with it. Thanksgiving...a time to be with family and be thankful for them and friends. I just love Fall!
