Home Decor & More BLog Hop Day 2

Welcome to the Home Decor & More blog hop. This is day 2 ,  Our host is Cicily the Pink Dalmatian Scrapbooker. If you came from Jessi then you're in the right spot. If you want to start from the beginner than head on over to http://pinkdalmationscrapper.blogspot.com/ and hop your way thru some amazing home decor. The Pink Dalmatian is giving away blog candy, you can see all the details on her post. Some of the other hoppers may be giving away candy to so be sure & check them out.
We all have drawers, closets & possibly rooms full of scrapbooking supplies. Those beautiful, colorful supplies don't have to be limited to our pages. We hope to inspire you to use your supplies in Home Decor projects that add that special touch to our homes.

Today I wanted to share with you this Dream banner I made.
I tried something different with this banner. I bought some Jewelry wire and put the banner together with that.

I started by wrapping a 5 inch piece of wire around a pencil to give it some curl, I did this for every piece that is hooked together. I used paper from Me & My Big Ideas. The stack doesn't have a name on it. But I just love the paper.

I also used Storybook for the letters, butterflies, and scrolly thing. I added glitter to every cut to make it stand out a little more. The letters are cut in DCWV glitter cardstock.

Here are some close ups of each piece of the banner.

I drilled holes in the chipboard for the wire- ok my hubby drilled the holes, but I was supervising the whole time. LOL!
I then laced the wire through the holes and make little knots on the back sides of the chipboard and wire.

Thanks for stopping & looking at my Home Decor project. I am giving away some blog candy too, woohoo! I will be giving away the New Limited Edition Tim Holtz Spring Ink Set or the Spring Re-inker set, your choice.

Dream Banner

Good morning everyone.
Today I wanted to share with you this Dream banner I made for the Cricut Circl blog Color Challenge and the magazine challenge. The colors to use were, peach, green, aqua, blue and brown.

Make Your Own Holiday Blog Hop- March 26 & 27

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the Make Your Own Holiday Blog Hop! The hop will be running from March 26 12:00 am to March 27th 11:59pm est. So you have all weekend to hop along with us. If you are arriving from the very talented  Jen at Young’s Scrapping then you are in the right place. If not you can start the hop

over at the lovely Karelj at One By One The Flamingos Are Stealing My Sanity .  Karelj is offering an over-all blog candy for those who are hopping along with us. She thought it would be fun to have some holiday-themed candy for this hop--but, of course, made-up holiday items were hard to come by! She decided to do a whole bunch of *regular* holiday themed stamps for you to enjoy. From Fiskars, there is an assorted holiday set; there's an alphabet from All Night Media, a set of 100 plus clear stamps and a storage case from Family Memories, and 5 sets of clear stamps from various dollar bins in big box stores. How to win them? Follow along the blog trail, leaving a comment on each and every blog. On Monday, Karelj will ask her  buddy Randy (random.org) to select a blog number (from the list), a day (Saturday is one, Sunday is two), and a comment number from that blog. Please make sure you have left a reliable way to contact you (email is best, in the safe format of **** at **** dot com ) so you can be notified by her personally. If you don't, she’ll have to select another winner

Ok let's get on to the hop. I thought this was an awesome idea. If you had to make a holiday what would you pick and why. Well, of course I came up with Scrapping Again it will be on every March 26 from now on for me. This is a day where a whole day is set aside for crafting! YEA! My favorite thing! This year I got lucky and it is on a Saturday but when it falls on a weekday, I might just have to play hookie from work-- LOL! We will see how that works out! HAHA. So for this hop, I made this cute Spring banner for my girlfriends birthday.

These are the close ups of the banner, you will have to excuse my messing craft shelf behind it.
I used Whimsy DCWV stack and glitter paper from DCWV for the letters.

I used Storybook for the letters and Accent Essentials for the flowers, and the banner cuts were from Birthday Bash.
Thank you for coming by today, your next stop on the hop is the very talented Jamie at Glitter, Paper, Stamps, Oh My!

Oh yeah, I almost forget the great blog candy I am giving away! Leave a comment and become a follower to be entered to win. I have a brand new Creative Memories Album. It is the Original 12 x12 album and I have a couple different ones you can choose from. Sorry but for shipping reasons this blog candy is only open to US residents.

Fall Wall Hanging- CJTOO DT Project

Hi Everyone,

Fall is my favorite time of year. The leaves are changing colors, the weather starts to change, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Here is my 1st design team project for Craft Junkie Too. I am really excited about how this turned out. I used some of my clearance coasters again, from Michaels. I took the project over to my mom's on Sunday and hung it up on her fireplace for the pictures. She liked it so much I almost didn't get it back from her. I told her she could have it after I was done with pictures and after I make another one.
On to the project. Like I said before I used the coasters I found at Michael's in the $1 bin  at 70% off (WOOT! WOOT!) lol....and the patterned paper is from the DCWV Autunm Splendor pack from Joanns.

All the letters are cut from Storybook at 3.5 inches, I used Creative Memories card stock for all the solid colors and the inked the letters with orange and brown ink.

The tree is cut from Cindy Loo at 3.5 inches.

The  leaves are cut from Thanksgiving at 1.5 inches and the pumpkins are from Everyday Paper dolls cut at 3 inches.

Acorns are cut from Create a Critter at 3 inches

Turkey cut from Thanksgiving at 2.75 inches and the pie is from Country Life cute at 3 inches.

1. Cover coasters with paper, sand edges down.
2. Ink the sides and edges with chocolate ink and burgandy brown ink.
3. Cut all cuts off Cricut and put together.
4. After all cuts are put together, add to coasters.
5. Punch two holes at the top of each coaster, I used my crop o dile.
6. Feed ribbon through holes.
