Welcome Everyone to the Cricut Crafty Challenge day over at the Cricut FANatics Blog!
I am so excited to share the very first Cricut Crafty Challenge with you all today.  If you haven't heard of this blog go check it out. It is all Cricut projects and has a different designer every day.
This time of year is all about getting the kids back to school, so this month's challenge is to make a Back to School gift, layout, card etc.
I made this awesome supply basket to give to my son's teacher on the first day of school.

For my project, I  first wrapped the basket with yellow paper. I cut and added "photo mats" for the backgrounds of the glue, pencil and crayon. Then I pieced together and added all of the cricut cuts. The finishing touches were the ribbon and the buttons and of course some stickles.
Cartridges used: CCR- Classroom cuts Back to School, Welcome, Crayon and pencil. Create A Critter for the worm, Cursive 101 for the book, Simply Charmed for the glue.

Easter Basket

Happy Good Friday to All!

Are you all ready for Easter? I'm not at all, I have all the candy and stuff just need to put it all together.
I wanted to share another Easter basket I made for my nephew for this Sunday and I have some BIG news. I can't wait for Easter! I just love watching the kids find all the Easter eggs and then having to hide them 10 more times before they are finally bored with it! LOL!
We are getting together at my mom's house for Easter dinner, I can't wait to see everyone.
I made this basket with the Tags, Boxes and More cartridge and the it is the popcorn box cut at the end of the handbook. I cut it at 10.5" and use my gypsy to turn it a little to get it to fit on the page.

I used Simply Charmed for the chick cut and the stamp is from the $1 bin at Michaels- I just love those bins so many good deals. LOL!
I used Peachy Keen Critter Faces- not sure of the exact name for the face stamp.

Ok on to my BIG news.  It has always been my dream to open a scrapbook store. I tried the consultant thing and I just love helping people find their passion in crafts. Well, I finally took the plunge and openned my own scrapbook store. It is not a brick and mortor store as I always wanted. It is an online scrapbook store and I am added products to it everyday. I have some great deals on Teresa Collins Designs and the Tim Holtz markers are a great PRE-ORDER price right now.
I plan on offering some kits, ideas and youtube videos for more crafty ideas too.
My store consists of high quality products at a discount. I love shopping for crafts, but I hate the price tags that come along with it. So I have decided on openning a store where everything is affordable and marked at prices that you can't beat. There is so much out there and of course I would love to carry it all but I can't afford that right now. So now I need your help! I would like to know from all of you what you would like to see in my store. Please leave a comment with some of your favorite brands and products you would like to see me carry. Also if you have something in mind that you are looking for just contact me and I will check out what I can get it for (it will be definitely cheaper then you would normally pay).  Ok, please check out my store and sign up with an account to recieve newletters and special discounts and offers. http://whatsscrappin.com .
Have a great Easter.

Easter Baskets

Crafty Monday to You!

I hope you all have a great weekend and were able to get some crafting done, time with family and everything else that can't get done during the week. LOL! I did get some crafting done this weekend and I can't wait to share with you what I made.
Easter is coming up fast and I knew this weekend would be my last change to make something for it, so I crafted up and made this cute little Easter basket to give to my nephew. Now I just need to go shopping to fill it up.

I made this basket cut at 10.5' from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart, the little bunny is from Simply Charmed and I used a Friskers punch for the grass.
I used Peachy Keen stamps for the face on the bunny and just $1 stamp from Michaels for the saying. I also embossed the carrot with a cuttlebug folder.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:
Just Keep On Creating - Anything Goes

More than Favors- Wacky Wednesday #68 Easter/Spring Theme

Tag Swap!

Hi Everyone

I wanted to share with you some of the tags I made for a tag swap I was in. I made all of these tags as 3.25 x 6.75 inches. The two I will be sharing today is the Valentine Tag and the St. Paddy's day tag. This is really the first time I have tried to make tags so they were a bit of a challenge but I had fun making them.
I used hearts from Simply Charmed but did not do the layers.
I used Simply Charmed on this one and a grass punch I had. The stamps are Studio J stamps from Michaels.

SSD- DT Challenge- Pinics

Hi Everyone!
It's Becka with http://www.creationswithbecka.blogspot.com/ here today. Are you all enjoying your Summer? The kids are out of school and I have reduced my hours at work, so I have Fridays off now, and let me tell you I wish I always could work a 4 day work week because it is so nice to have that extra day. Lately, I have been trying to spend it in my craft room. But my craftroom is upstairs in my house and I don't have air conditioning so it gets really hot up there. Especially because it has been 100 degrees here. Yikes! But the swamp cooler works well and I just wear lots of tank tops and shorts LOL!
When I think of Summer I always think about talking long walks down by the Truckee River and having a pinic in the park. But with a pinic always comes ants, so I made this cute little card.
Can you believe that I could not find ants on a Cricut cartridge anywhere, every time I searched my Gypsy it brought up pants- How funny is that? So I used these old CM stickers I had.

I used this watermelon on page 46 from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I used the watermelon on the shift, then I deleted the face on the watermelon, so I could stamp a face with a Peachy Keen stamp. This is how I set it up on the Gypsy

Next, I used K.Andrew Amazing You stamp set for the sentiment. If you don't have any of K.Andrew stamps yet you have to get some! They are amazing and they are my new favorite stamps. You can check all of them out HERE. I used Peachy Keen Snowman faces for the stamped face.

Hope you all enjoyed my post today and make sure you stop by tomorrow to see what the other design team members make.

SSD- DT Challenge Easel Card

Hi Everyone
This week for the Sweet Sassy Diva's DT challenge we were asked to make an Easel card. I wasn't sure what this was at first but I found this great tutorial at Split Coast Stampers website. The tutorial is really wonderful, but I think I have a hearing problem because at first I just could not figure out the whole flap thing, but after watching the video 3 times and taking my card apart once I finally got it! WOOHOO!

I am so ready for Spring to come but it is still snowing in my neck of the woods. So to get in the Spring mood I made this cute Chick card.
And this is the cool part, you can make it stand up like an easel to showcase the card.

Here is what I used to make the card:
Yellow and Pink Card Stock
Patterned paper from my stash
PK Critter faces
Simply Charmed- Love this cart! It is a must have...
I cut the chick out at 2.75" and then wrote the saying since I couldn't find a stamp with what I wanted.
I colored in the beak and eyes with markers.

Lucky Charm Blog Hop! & Cricut Lite Giveaway!

Welcome to my Blog and the Lucky Charm Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Carol you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can start at the beginning at   Giselle - http://crossmyheartpapercrafts.blogspot.com/.   This blog hop is all about creating something for the lucky charm in your life..  So I created a notebook for my mom. she is one of my bestfriends and is always there for me. She always has the right words to make me feel better, never ending advice and just makes my life better all around.

I bought this notebook at Michaels in the $1 section ( WOOHOO love the dollar section), but even better it was 50% off- heck yes! How awesome is that. It is a lined notebook and the covers are chipboard- it doesn't get any better than that!

This is what it looked like originally.

I covered the binding with green cardstock and the added the striped patterned paper to the front and back covers. Sanding down the edges so it fits perfectly on the covers.
Next I used my Gypsy to design a St. Patricks day theme to go on the cover. This is how I set it up on my Gypsy. I used Simply Charmed, which is the 1st time I have used this cartridge and let me say it is a MUST have- so many great images on it.

The grayed out areas are the parts I did not want to cut. Here is how I set the cardstock up on the mat.
I used mostly scrap paper for all the cuts. It seems like I have so many scraps, but with the Gypsy it is so easy to tell what size of paper you need and where to put it on the mat. I cut the little guy out at 3" and the pot of gold at 2"

I used Pk Retro Dolls stamp for the face and a white gel pen for his teeth, blue gel pen for his eyes and pink chalk for his cheeks.

The gold he is throwing out of his hand is bling from Imaginisce and I used the I-rock tool to adhere it. The grass is a Friskers punch.

My super cool Circle Pal Jenny K sent me this awesome stamp that just goes perfectly with the theme of the hop.

Ok, so now on to the good stuff! Who wants some blog candy??? I know you do! Okay, well for the hop I am giving away B is for Boy Cricut Lite Cartridge.

You have to do 2 things to enter....
1. Must be a follower
