Circle Monthly Challenge & Sweet Sassy Diva- DT Challenge- Home Sweet Home
Hi All
This week our challenge over at Sweet Sassy Diva our DT challenge was Home Sweet Home, which was also the monthly Circle Challenge. Here is what the challenge was:
For my Home Sweet Home project I altered a candle I had already at the house. Making it into a wonderful gift or centerpiece. I used a leaf punch to cut out all the leaves, and cuttlebuged the brown ones and then inked them. I traced the leaf pattern onto the felt and cut out the leaf. I tried to cuttlebug the felt but it just came out. I glued all leaves to the base of the candle, wrapping them around the candle. Then I cut out the tag from Gyspy Wanderings and the "Thanks" from Gyspy font and tied the tage to the top of the candle.
Recipe:
Tag is cut from Gyspy Wandering at 3 inches, orange DCWV cardstock

CJ TOO DT Challenge-- THANKFUL
Hi- This week Tracy over at Craft Junkie Too challenged us to make a project showcasing what we are thankful for, it could have been anything from home decor, scrapbook layout or anything you could imagine. I went to the Scrapbook Expo last October in Sacramento and I found this cute little booth called Quick Quotes. They had beautiful kits for every occasion. I foam und this one called "Family", so I finally sat down last weekend and put the kit together. We just had family pictures taken in the park so I thought this would be perfect to finish the kit with. And of course it truely represents what I am thankful most in my life...My family. I am so thankful that God blessed me with a wonderful husband and two healthy beautiful children. I could not be more thankful for anything else in the world except that. My family means everything to me and they are the most important part of my life. So I think this wall hanging truely fits this challenge for me.
Here is a picture of the kit
If you would like to check out their selection of other kits they have their website is: http://www.shopquickquotes.com/
Be sure to check out the rest of the design team great projects at http://www.craftjunkietoo.com/
I hope you enjoy.

Sweet Sassy Diva- DT Challenge- NOV 11th Cricut class
I was one of the lucky ones that was able to attend Provo Crafts 1st on-line Cricut class. It was awesome and can't wait until they have more of them. We were given the cut files for our Gyspies, but I do not own the Sentimentals cartridge so I used Lacey Labels for the centerpieces instead. I really liked the class, it was fun to learn the new techinque with the crepe paper. It was a little hard to follow along as there were people chatting on the side of the video, so I wish there was a way to hide that, but other then that I really enjoyed it.
Recipe
DCWV patterned cardstock from the Autumn Harvest pack
Orange and brown cardstock
Light brown crepe paper
Brown ribbon
Bountiful Harvest glitter from Martha Stewart
Banners & Letters are cut from Country Life
Centerpieces are cut from Lacy Label
Here is my version of the project. And of course what I am truely thankful for my healthy beautiful children.
Check out all the great DT projects at SweetSassyDiva's blog all week.

I love your card! Very inspiring! I grew up with a Marine, my mom. She was a single parent, and ran our home like a Mini Bootcamp. At the time it was rough, but I learned a lot from it. I think it kept me on track, and out of trouble, unlike so many of the kids around me. My brother, the only male in the house, went on to join the Marines after High School. Now I am married to a Navy man, and my Brother-in-law is currently serving in Iraq. It is his third tour since 9-11. He, like so many others, has a wife and 2 children here at home. I think growing up with military I learned to appreciate my freedom. I still stand and place my hand over my heart and say the Pledge of Allegience. My daughter knew it by heart before she ever stepped into a school. My son (who is 4 1/2) is still learning it. Hearing the Star Spangled Banner, and God Bless America, still give me chills. And I pray that that will NEVER change. Thanks for hopping along with us! Gina GRKIDDO at Verizon.net
GINA PLEASE EMAIL YOUR ADDRESS AT scrapperbecka at yahoo. com, within 1 week of today to claim your prize. If I do not hear from you by November 19th I will draw another winner.
