This month for the Circle challenge we were asked to make a banner. It could be any kind of banner but must include 3 circut cuts.
I made this love banner for the challenge
I used George and Basic shapes for the hearts and also for the littler hearts, Storybook for the letters and I used the swirls cuttlebug embossing folder on the red hearts.

SSD Design Team Color Challenge
As Sweet Sassy Diva is getting ready for her Cricut cruise, her DT was asked to make a project using the colors in the picture below.
I used Accent Essentials for the flower cuts. Here is how I set it up on my gypsy.
I just use a pen do curl with. Then you layer all the flowers together and apply a brad in the center to hold them together. I made the brad using the I-Top tool and a 16mm brad.
then I put the card together using yellow cardstock for the A2 size card and DCWV the Dots, Stipes & Plaids cardstock pad for the patterned paper. I glued the flower on the upper left corner and then used CTMH True Friends stamp for the saying. I added buttons to the bottom of the card.
Hope you enjoyed.
What do you think? Do you think she is excited for her cruise or what? I am just plain jealous.
So for my project I made this card for my friend.
The sizes are the flowers are as follows: 1 @ 3.64 x 3.5, 1 @ 3.12 x3, 1 @ 2.6x2.5, 1 @ 2.08 x 2, 1 @ 1.56x 1.5
Then after they cut out I curl the petals.

Circle Love Notes Challenge
Hi Everyone
This week on the Circle blog, the challenge was called Love Notes. You had to make a project with at least two Cricut cuts and a heart. I just got my Cricut Everyday cartridge and I thought of a cute saying while I was looking through the book.
So here is my project.
I used the Circut Everyday Cartridge and cut the Yudu out at 2.53", and Platin Schoolbook for the letters and then welded them together.

Super Cute Watermelon card and Mini Album
Hi Everyone
I had so much fun at my crop on Saturday. I love getting together with my crafting friends. I don't normally get too much done since we all talk so much! LOL! I guess that happens when you only see each other a couple of times a year. Gotta catch up on all the stuff going on in our lives. I did complete two baby banners so that was good. I still have to take and upload pictures of them.
Today I wanted to share with you a card and a mini album I made for my Grandma. My Grandpa had to go into an assisted living home last week and I know my Grandma was feeling down. So I hoped this would lift her spirits a little.
I made this card using DCWV cardstock and the Preserves Cartridge. I also used black stickles for the seeds.
I also made this little mini album with the Mini YourStory. I also used a Once Upon A Princess cuttlebug folder.

Cricky Across the 50 States Blog Hop!!!!
A Big Cricut Hello & Chirp to each of you! Welcome to the Cricky Across the 50 Blog Hop hosted by K Andrew of Getting Cricky! . If you are here from CreateNCraft than you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go to KAndrew's Getting Cricky! For this blog hop K Andrew is celebrating her big move across the country with a big road trip, and of course this hop across the 50 states! She has asked us all to post a little bit about the state we are representing, and then to post our Favorite Craft Project. I am representing the state of Oregon.
Last year we took a family vacation and camped the whole way down the Oregon coast. This was such an awesome vacation. We actually started at the very top of Oregon and worked a little way down everyday. The first place we went was Fort Stevens. We stay in the actual state park camp ground and visited the military installment. It was actually really cool and the kids loved it. The state camp ground was huge, it had over 200 campsite, with really nice showers (always a plus) and its own beach with a real ship wreck on it.
This was the first time my daughter had ever been to the ocean, and even though it was August it was only around 40-50 degrees outside. But I just couldn't keep either one of the kids out of the water.
Constructed during the Civil War as an earthwork battery, it was originally called Fort at Point Adams. Fort Stevens was the primary military installation at the mouth of the Columbia River. The fort was built to defend the mouth of the Columbia from potential British attack during ongoing regional tensions related to the Pig War of 1859–70 in the San Juan Islands and it was later used in WWII to protect again the Japanese.
This place was really a site to take in.
Here are some more pictures of some of the other places along the way down the coast. Our next stop was Cape Kiwanda, this is just a picture of the giant sand mountain they people was sand boarding down.
Picture of the ocean from the beach. Cape Kiwanda is a host of the National Longboard Competition every year.
This is a picture of a lighthouse that we could see from one of the beaches we went to.
The great part about this trip was that we went with my mom and step dad and we just had a blast. It was the first time for all of my family to go to the coast and we got to see and experience some really wonderful places. I will give you some advice if you plan on taking this trip. Pack lots of warm clothes, we were freezing! It was August and we live in NV where it is nice and very hot in the summer time. I don't think it ever got warmer then 55 degrees the whole time we were on the coast and we never saw the sun until we moved inland. It is very wet and every morning everything that was left outside was soaking wet. We did get to have a fire on the beach, very cool! That sort of thing would never fly in NV since we are so dry.
When we moved inland on the way home we stopped at Crater Lake. OMG!!! This place is absolutely the most gorgeous place I have ever been too. The whole lake is surrounded by mountains and the water is crystal clear. It was formed from volcano's that erupted thousands of years ago, and then again forming islands in the lake. You can only view the lake from the top of the mountains and no one is allowed in it(not that you could get to it anyway). The lake is almost 2000 feet deep, the deepest lake in the US. These pictures do not do it justice, but they will give you an idea.
Okay, so enough about Oregon. Here is one of my favorite projects I have ever made. This was a sign that I made for my daughter's bedroom.
If you would like to see more of this sign and details on items used to make it click HERE.
Okay how about some blog candy?? We can't have a blog hop without any candy...Right? Ok I am giving away Tinkerbell and Friend Cricut Cartridge.

SSD- DT Movie Challenge
Hi everyone,
This week for Sweet Sassy Diva's DT challenge we were to watch a movie and make a project about the movie. Well I haven't been renting any movies lately but I watched Valentine's Day on HBO this weekend. This is really a cute movie. It follows different people and their love stories. Really cute.
So for my project I decided to make an altered compisite notebook. This is a pocket size notebook and would fit perfectly in your purse.

So for my project I decided to make an altered compisite notebook. This is a pocket size notebook and would fit perfectly in your purse.
So the first thing I did was took the pink patterned paper and traced it around the notebook and cut it out.
Then I glued it on the top of the notebook. I then sanded the edges. Repeat same process for the back side of the notebook. Then I added the chocolate with poka dots paper and sanded the edges.
Next, I used Gypsy font to cut out love at 1.20" and glued onto the front, and added the sticker.

February 3rd Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge
This week for the Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge, we were asked to make a project with the cartridges that came with our cricut or gypsy.
I made this card using Accent Essentials and Storybook, the two cartridges that came with my Expression.
I made this flower from a cut on Accent Essentials. I cut it at 4 different sizes and then layered it together and added a homemade brad using my new i-top my circle pal Jenny gave to me. YAY!The butterfly is cut from Storybook and then I i-rocked the jewels on.
Sweet is also cut from Storybook.
