Good morning everyone!
Today is Friday YAY! Well I haven't posted in a while because I have been busy preparing for some swaps and September is an extremely busy month here in Reno! We have so many festivals and events in the month of September it seems I don't get very much done LOL!!
Starting the 1st week in September we have the Rib cook off, this is where vendors from all over the world show up and fight for your vote for the best ribs. This is always a fun event but can be very spendy as the prices for the ribs are totally outragous! But it is always fun.
Then the following weekend is the Balloon Races. Yes Hot Air Balloons from all over come here to race. Next, the Reno Air Races are held at the little airport out in Stead. My mom always has a huge party at her house for this as you can see everything from her yard. Then last week was Street Vibrations which is where tons of motorcycles come into town. So, these are some of the reasons why I have been so busy.
But I always signed up to do some swaps at Cricut, Mini Alubm Scraps and Craft Happens. So lets check out the first swap that I completed.
I signed up for the Floral Spray swap on the Cricut messageboard. I have never made these before but the examples looked awesome so I wanted to give it a try. Here is what I made:
I must say these are pretty easy to make but man o man do your fingers hurt afterward! Wrapping all of that wires does a number on your fingers! LOL!!!
For the tag I put it on, I used the Imagine Cart- Industrial Glow for the paper. When I saw this paper I just had to use it. For the sentiment I used Jaded Blossom curly die and stamp for the outside of the saying. Then the actual stamp I used for the saying is by Crafty Sprouts.
So what do you think? I made 11 of these to send off and I can't wait to get mine back to see what wonderful creations everyone made.

For my project, I first wrapped the basket with yellow paper. I cut and added "photo mats" for the backgrounds of the glue, pencil and crayon. Then I pieced together and added all of the cricut cuts. The finishing touches were the ribbon and the buttons and of course some stickles.
Cartridges used: CCR- Classroom cuts Back to School, Welcome, Crayon and pencil. Create A Critter for the worm, Cursive 101 for the book, Simply Charmed for the glue.

Tooth Fairy Tins & Card Set for Girls
Happy Friday!!
Sorry I didn't post this yesterday, I did something to my back and have been in a ton of pain!
But I am feeling better today and as promised I wanted to show you the girl version I made of the Tooth Fairy tins and cards.
Again, I used Dr. Check up for the tooth cuts, and the star I believe is from Create A Critter. The stamp is the Tooth Fairy stamp from Jaded Blossoms. LOVE IT!!! I am in the process of adding these tins (blank ones) to my store and also round ones, so if you want to make one of these yourself you can buy the tins to do so. My store addy is www.whatsscrappin.com and I should have them there by Saturday afternoon.
Here is the set of cards to go with it.
Here is a close up of the receipts
Here are a couple of reminders for you. Tomorrow is the grand openning of the Cricut FANatic blog where it is all inspired projects using the Cricut. We have a ton of designers and fun things planned so make sure you stop by and check it out. You don't want to miss out on some of the AWESOME giveaways!

My Stick Pins for a Swap
Hi Crafties!
My son's first day of school was yesterday. He is a big third grader now! Time goes by so quickly. He is growing up so fast. I brought him to school and brought him in to meet his teacher and it was hard for me to let him go when I hugged him Good Bye. It's amazing how fast they start to grow up. I know he is a great kid and really is going to grow up to be a great man. He just amazes me everyday with his huge heart. He is willing to help anyone and I am just so proud of him.
So, last night after school his tummy was hurting and then the poor thing spent all night in the bathroom with some kind of flu bug. Needless to say, I wouldn't let him go to school today and it is only his second day. I feel so bad for him. So, today I am home from work with him, trying to make him feel better.
Today, I wanted to share some stick pins that I made for a swap that I am was in with some ladies from the Cricut Message board.
The first set of pins I made I used the Best Friends Imagine cartridge to print up the fronts of these matchbook covers.
These are the first sets of pins I made for the 1st group in the swap.
These are the 2nd sets for the 3rd group. I used Pink By Designs "Crop til you Drop" stamp set for the stamps sentiment and I also used the Imagine More Imagine cartridge for the tags.
I have some exciting information for some upcoming events too, check it out below:

Tropical Pin Cushion Swap
Hi Everyone
Today I have a special project and video for you. I was recently in a Tropical Pin Cushion swap over at Mini Album Scraps. We were partnered up with one partner and we each were supposed to make a pin cushion with a tropical theme for each other.
So I was partnered with Audrey and this is the pin cushion I made for her
So, I started out with a silver tin with a lid, I removed the lid and painted the tin red. I didn't have any tropical or summery fabric so I cut apart one of my old swimsuit covers and used the fabric from it to create the flower and the top of the pin cushion.. I used white tulle and a red button. The trim is just various trim I had and I used blue ink on the bottom one.
Ok here is the pin cushion that Audrey made for me:
Sorry this took so long to get up, the video took forever to process.
